semi-notability[edit]

At least one of the musicians mentioned in the article, Frank Gibson Jr, was a highly sought-after session musician working in the UK in the late 70s. He worked with Morrissey - Mullen before being "spotted" by Leo Sayer and joining him on a world tour. He also appears on a Rick Wakeman album Rhapsodies (album). I don't have access to more info. just now, but the essential thing here is that even though the article in question is certainly lacking in many ways, it is no more so than a multitude of other articles on wikipedia which are simple PR stunts by "name" bands/performers and which nobody dares touch for fear of starting WW3. (I don't dare mention any names!)

The fact that NZ is a small community and probably has a much smaller music scene than other English-speaking countries does not warrant its bands/performers being "marginated" by the great, wiser wikicommunity ... does it? Cheers! --Technopat 22:37, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article 1987 in New Zealand also shows the following:
BEST JAZZ ALBUM Mike Nock / Frank Gibson - 'Open Door'
while another reference on a drum page also includes Gibson as drummer for Dusty Springfield. Regards,Technopat 07:58, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
