Picture.[edit]

I would just like to mention that there are two rare items in that picture. The Konami "Manner Pad", a foam pad put underneeth the Konami brand DDR controller and the official Konami DDR playstation hand controller, which was shaped like two of the DDR Solo pads placed next to eachother. *by user Tomo kun on 21:25, 18 April 2006

Possibly also worth mentioning that the rug shown is an extremely rare limited edition rug from the early 1990s. I guess there are three rare items in this picture. *by user 83.67.91.153 on 16:13, 8 August 2006

A dance mat is not a dance pad[edit]

Dance mat redirects to this article, whereas a dance mat is for dancers. AlexandreQuessy

Agreed. I would personally have a disambiguation page for this, but I dunno how to create one and cancel a redirect. The page should say something like "Dance Mat: a mat used for dancers" and "Dance pad: a large pad used in dancing video games" ~Entegy 23:58, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aerobic Digital?[edit]

Somebody added a link to this site to a bunch of articles related to dancing games. I removed it, because 1) it was in the "see also" section, which is for wikilinks, and 2) I'm not sure about how notable that dance pad in particular is. It doesn't have its own wiki article about it, and as somebody in the DDR community I've never heard of it, so I'm assuming it's not notable. Anybody else can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like an ad to me. アンジェリークAngelique 02:34, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It probably doesn't belong there, but it does have a page on the Spanish Wikipedia, es:Aeróbic Digital, so it may be notable in Spain. An external link without explaining that, of course, is unhelpful. Rigadoun (talk) 22:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • The es.wiki article looks like spam to me. There's only one link there which specifically relates to the "Aeróbic Digital" system being discussed, and it's to the web site of the company which produces it. (The rest are to pages about DDR and sports in general.) I don't have an account on es.wiki, but I'll ask a friend who edits there to nominate it for deletion. when I see him next. Oops[edit]

I messed up the spacing fix I was working on, and reverted it. I'm asking someone to work on fixing that issue. Elenseel 00:45, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects[edit]

"Dance Pad Games" redirects to this page.

However, the intro of this article links to Dance Pad Games with the link to "games that are not related to rhythm yet still use the dance pad." In essence the article links to itself.

Furthermore, "Dance Mat" also redirects to this article but this article does not mention mats. Dracker 16:12, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References needed[edit]

Can't we substantiate the discussion of soft pad mods and DIY pads? The discussion of the former is "common knowledge" among the Bemani community, but it seems like it would be less than convincing to non-DDR players. Even just a link to BemaniStyle or DDRFreak's discussion of using soft pads would help. The discussion of DIY pads is dubiously biased, and perhaps should be removed altogether. Other games that can be played with dance pads[edit]

If we're talking about the PlayStation DDR mat, you can play any games with it that don't need the analog sticks. 75.118.170.35 (talk) 23:14, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
