Short story in "Star Wars: Form a Certain Point of View"[edit]

DJO did a short story in the Star Wars 40th anniversary short-story collection "From a Certain Point of View", ISBN 9780345511478. The story takes the form of an after-action report by an imperial sandtrooper. Mention of the short-story should go into the "Short Fiction" section of this DJO Wikipedia article, but I didn't think putting it in "Collections" would be correct. Structure / Content[edit]

I'm somewhat irritated by this entry. Older's opinion on the screen adaptations of The Hunger Games should be of no significance here, at his no relevance, and little relation to his own work.

Also, from what I see Older's petition predates his first professional sale outside of amateur and indie press publication. I think that's interesting enough to mention, as obviously the petition and the enormous publicity which followed brought up his name in the press first. That the 2014 campaign (...) called (Lovecraft) out as an "avowed racist" with "hideous opinions" is somewhat misleading, as the campaign text was written solely by Older himself. He also claimed there that Lovecraft was "a terrible wordsmith". It's worth mentioning that, while Older's campaign was partly successful (he failed to get the award image changed to that of Octavia Butler), it was opposed by many writers, including S. T. Joshi (who returned his World Fantasy Awards when the campaign succeeded), Jason V. Brock, W. H. Pugmire, William F. Nolan, and others. This aspect is not addressed at all.
