This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --KittenKlub (talk) 11:42, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This person has been charged to head the Covid 19 crisis in Suriname and furthermore she is the directory of the National Intelligence Agency, which makes her important enough IMO KittenKlub (talk) 11:42, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In case you do not understand it: Danielle Veira is the equivalence of the CIA director in Suriname as well as the person in charge of the fight against Corona. KittenKlub (talk) 13:29, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also you might like to check out the Dutch page, because Suriname is a Dutch speaking country. KittenKlub (talk) 13:32, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Suriname with Danielle Veira[edit]

Fails WP:NSOLDIER, briefly going viral makes her a WP:BLP1E at best, not enough sustained coverage to meet WP:N. ♠PMC(talk) 00:19, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is much more to her than that. She is also head of the Intelligence agency and the head of the COVID 19 management agency. KittenKlub (talk) 05:00, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

She is also the highest ranking officer in Suriname, because there are no generals which means that she does meet WP:NSOLDIER. KittenKlub (talk) 07:05, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I know that I'm talking to myself again, but it would make sense to keep it separately, because she is also the head of the national intelligence agency. There is a chance that once this Covid 19 crisis is over, she will become noteworthy for that function, however her biography at a Coronavirus outbreak would mean that somebody would create a new page and miss the information written at an event. So merging it makes no sense! KittenKlub (talk) 08:01, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Veira is also a member of the cabinet... 18:48, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Of course there is no discussion and the person who placed the tag will never look at this page again. In a week I remove the merge, because it will stay this way for months and months. KittenKlub (talk) 22:09, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Posting passive-aggressive messages about other users here and on your talk page is not a great way to achieve any kind of consensus. At the time I suggested the merge, she was stated to be a lieutenant colonel, and it was not obvious that colonel is the equivalent to general in Suriname. Second, being the head of various bureaucratic agencies does not necessarily make someone inherently notable in the way that being an elected politician does (see WP:NPOL), and the article said nothing about her being a cabinet member. And on that point, the reference that you've cited for her doesn't show her as a member of the cabinet, it shows her as member of his staff as "Director". That's not the same as being a cabinet member at all. ♠PMC(talk) 22:50, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
