Revisions to Article[edit]

I have written a draft revision of this article in hopes of streamlining the wording in the article and achieving a more neutral point of view. The intent is to make it more encyclopedic and to get the blp and conflict of interest tags removed. I would like to have someone review it before I post it, if at all possible, as I am wary of negative and unproductive criticism, such as using a phrase like "self-important" or describing it as "hoo ha". So I don't know if I should just make the changes to the article and wait for the "hammer" to drop, or if there's another way I can present the material to someone who will give it an even-handed look and make specific constructive comments on how to make it work.

Please advise. Thank you,

As suggested by one of the editors, I made the changes to the article, then undid them. Here is a link to the revised article: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Darin_Pastor&oldid=648989309 I'd appreciate any constructive comments on specifically what may still need to be changed. Thank you. Trigger449 (talk) 20:54, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Undisclosed paid editing?[edit]

Apparently, according to this press release by the DOJ, Johnson and Pastor fraudulently represented to investors and potential investors that Pastor had substantial personal wealth. For instance, they created a Wikipedia page for Pastor claiming that he had a net worth of hundreds of millions of dollars. It doesn't seem like thus is much of a problem anymore, but just thought I'd let y'all know. It also mentions Pastor died last March, but this is a BLP, I'm not sure the DOJ is enough of a source. Clearly I shouldn't edit Wikipedia when I'm severely sleep deprived. All of this, minus his potential death, is covered already. LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 05:51, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding 'potential death', there is a notification of sorts here [1] (not actually an obituary, in any meaningful sense, in spite of the headline), and a post on a forum here [2] expressing some scepticism about the claim. And nothing else I can find to confirm the DoJ's comment in passing. And while the forum post linked clearly isn't WP:RS, I'd have to suggest that a little scepticism or at least restraint on our part would be advisable too, until we see further sourcing regarding Pastor's alleged demise. Better to say nothing in such circumstances than to be wrong. AndyTheGrump (talk) 09:50, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
