Orphaned references in Darker than Black: Gaiden[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Darker than Black: Gaiden's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "okamura":

  • From Hei (Darker than Black): "DARKER THAN BLACK 2期". Ryobben. Retrieved July 21, 2021.
  • From Darker than Black: "DARKER THAN BLACK 2期". Ryobben. Archived from the original on July 12, 2021. Retrieved July 21, 2021.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:23, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Main image[edit]

@Xexerss: Found a simpler keyvisual here but the size is very small. You think a bigger one could replace the current? It still shows the two leads.Tintor2 (talk) 20:05, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: It seems that the image is specifically of the main series and not Gaiden, I mean, I don't see the "Gaiden" characters (外伝) - Xexerss (talk) 22:31, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Staff members[edit]

@Xexerss: While I know that Okamura and Suga were the main creators of the OVA, I can't find a citation for each episode's main staff member other than ANN encyclopedia. Have you seen it?Tintor2 (talk) 00:54, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: I have no idea about sources of the credits for each episodes. Maybe check each episode credits and cite them directly? I saw something like that in Fly Me to the Moon (manga) for the characters section, I suppose that should work too. - Xexerss (talk) 03:15, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Table[edit]

@Xexerss: I've been checking around but it appears none of the episodes have actual titles like not even a placeholder like "Gaiden 1". I think Aniplex call them "OVA 1", "OVA 2". Also since the plot summary takes place in the plot, should we use the episode chart for something? I have the same doubt with the handling of the article Akudama Drive as such anime only had 12 episodes yet it wasn't given its own list.Tintor2 (talk) 17:38, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: I suppose that the release dates should be just mentioned in the Production and release section then. It seems that it's pointless to have the wikitable. - Xexerss (talk) 18:41, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll get to this tomorrow. ♦ jaguar 21:02, 2 October 2021 (UTC) @Jaguar: Thanks for the review. I'll to fix any issue you find. It was recently copyedited by Baffle gab1978 from the Guild so I hope prose is okay. Still, it's kinda one of my smallest nominations I ever made.Tintor2 (talk) 22:06, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Hei notices Yin's alter ego on their way to Hong Kong,;" - stray comma
    • Done
  • " suggests she use herself as a bait to attract" - 'a' is redundant
    • Done
  • "Meanwhile, an unknown group ensures Izanami's awakening is stopped and seal Yin" - seal Yin into where? Some explanation would help clarify this sentence
    • Done
  • "Original character designer Yuji Iwahara, anime character designer and chief animation director Takahiro Komori" - anime seems a bit redundant here, aren't they all anime designers to an extent?
    • Revised. Basically, when making an anime, there are two character designers. Iwahara is the original artist while Komori adapted his work for the animation.
  • "Anime UK Network stated he gave the second season of Darker than Black a more favorable score" - broken sentence; how about A reviewer from Anime UK Network gave the second season of Darker than Black a more favorable score
    • Done.

That's all I have. This is a nice compact article, which boasts comprehensiveness and good sourcing. Once those minor nitpicks are out of the way I'll be happy to promote this! jaguar 22:34, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
