I recently corrected "Slavic" to "South Slavic" on this page. User:Bennyben1998 reverted.

All 89 examples on this page are of South Slavs — in fact, not even Bulgarians, but only ex-Yugoslav countries. Darko Bodul does play for a Russian team, but he is a Bosnian Croat. In fact, I can't find any Darko's in the RU domain who aren't South Slavs — try the Google search Дарко -Донни site:ru (excluding Donny Darko). The name is first attested in the Dečani chrysobulls, which are of course Serbian.

So... what evidence is there that this name is widely used by Slavs other than South Slavs? Should we also call it a German or Canadian name because there are a handful of people named Darko in those countries? --Macrakis (talk) 15:35, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
