Untitled[edit]

Data.gov is not "about a company or corporation". Like the existing page ClinicalTrials.gov, it represents a significant initiative by the United States government to transform how it interacts with its citizens. Unprecedented amounts of government data will be provided through this site, affecting the lives of millions. Therefore I believe it has sufficient notability. To the extent that Data.gov is an organisation separate from the US Government itself, under Wikipedia:Notability_(organizations_and_companies) it qualifies under:

Organizations are usually notable if they meet both of the following standards:

  1. The scope of their activities is national or international in scale.
  2. Information about the organization and its activities can be verified by
     third-party, independent, reliable sources.

one year[edit]

It's been a year without complaints, so I'm removing the "needs cleanup" and stub tags. Rakerman (talk) 09:45, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
