Could somebody please add something about the dispute about the gay/lesbian episodes because that has been a big blogging subject online for Anti-MTV and Anti-Gay groups. --4.253.123.30 22:19, 6 December 2005 (UTC)Insomniak[reply]

Disputing the show being called a game show[edit]

I think that calling Date My Mom a game show is a stretch. That would insist you are calling the son or daughter a "prize." Mr. C.C. 08:32, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IMO it's the other way around. The son or daughter is not the prize, the one who's dating the mum is; as is obvious from the "We're gonna win this" line that keeps getting repeated by every single team. I have a problem with the term 'game show' period. Its just a bunch of stale scripted banter spoken by people who could act their way out of a shedded paper bag. Its not even a reality show since nothing is real. People don't talk like this in the 'real world' (pun) --Doom Child 06:52, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
