Identification[edit]

First of all.....Great work here, Chris. I made a few minor (one style and one grammar) corrections recently but failed to log in so my IP address is what showed up. Just setting the record straight. The grammar correction was on the sentence regarding Dave's collaborations. Filled in a verb in the reference to "......and some zydeco with Chubby Carrier". I used "performed some zydeko..." as it was difficult to ascertain what role Dave played on the Chubby album from a web search. If he co wrote with Chubby than obviously the word would need correction.

Actually, my original article has been pretty much replaced completely by Penny Pearson working with, um, Dave Malone. I started to do a little copyediting myself, and got a chiding email from Penny who said that while she understood the open nature of the Wiki, she wanted to let me know that Dave was upset. Personally, I'm torn, because this is valuable information (albeit from a primary source), and I would love to be able to cite it, but as it stands, it violates all sorts of Wikipedia policy and guidelines. My plan at some point is to recover the raw, unedited Penny/Dave version from the history, post that on some other site, and then use it as a reference in a more encyclopedic article here. But since there's no deadline for bringing this up to Wikipedia standards, I'm not in a rush. Xtifr _tälk 08:32, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
