Hello David, I have missed you since our last conversation on the phone. I know that God loves us both and has given us strength to live life every day with each breath. I am still having problems at the Church, and I don't know if they appreciate the last donation. However, I am working very hard for God each day at the campus. The pastor seems to be authentic and a God fearing man. I am still doing the food distribution and the auto shop ministry each day. I would appreciate your support with an overwhelming attitude. Thank you very much, and I hope you call me soon. 248.291.4513 I also have my personal troubles and I am in need of some support to continue to do what God wants me to do each and every day. Thank you for your help and God bless you. Always, your cousin Christopher. Love and <3 God Speed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebulldog08 (talkcontribs) 01:45, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why all the sanitization?[edit]

A series of recent edits removed all negative information about Mr. Copley. These edits, which deleted a number of sourced and cited facts, seem more in line with "reputation control" than presenting an encyclopedic biography on someone who was, in the end, a normal human being who made human mistakes.99.101.13.235 (talk) 06:18, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I only see two areas of negative information that have been in the article in recent history.
  • One was a paragraph about Andrew Cunanan, which was only partly sourced, was only tangentially about Mr. Copley. It seemed to me to be of undue weight to devote a paragraph to that unless it could establish a firmer link than being at the same (presumably large) party. The emphasis seemed to suggest some involvement by Mr. Copley in the murders. Perhaps the article ought to discuss Mr. Copley's parties and social life in general, and could then list some of the notable people with whom he was known to spend significant time.
  • The other was his arrests and conviction for drunk driving. I don't see a recent version that does not have this information, although the phrasing is now less repetitive than before, and is integrated with his penchant for driving expensive cars. I'll try to dig up another reference for that.

Another user did recently remove the DUI coverage, but I have restored it. It seems to me to be proportionate and well integrated. Anyone who has been following Mr. Copley in the news over the last few years would be surprised to find that information entirely absent. Cheers. Bovlb (talk) 17:00, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
