Coaching Career[edit]

Dave worked as a Regional Area for coaching for Manchester County FA when he left Rochdale AFC.

He also played semi professional football for a range of clubs such as: Chorley, Altrincham, Witton Albion, Hyde Utd, Castleton Gabriel’s and Bacup Borough FC.

Since joining the University of Worcester in 2003 he gained a first class honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science with PE and then completed an International Masters Degree whilst working in youth football clubs in São Paulo in Brazil and Groningen in the Netherlands, Dave has been the Head Coach of Worcester Blind Football Club since 2006 and coached the team to 5 National League Titles, 2 Brian Aaron’s FA Cups and 2 European Champions League Trophies in the Czech Republic.

This led him to being given the assistant coaching role for the England and Great Britain National Blind Futsal Teams in 2010.

The position meant he was part of the coaching team for the European Championships, the IBSA World Games and the London 2012 Paralympics.
