Postponement of the end of DST[edit]

The article currently has "Near-past and near-future years in which the end of DST is scheduled to be postponed are 2012, 2015, 2023, 2026, 2034 and 2037, for which the pattern is +3 +8."

The postponement is linked to the date of Easter Sunday (see Computus), which suggests that at least the long-term pattern should be more complex than an 11-year cycle. 94.30.84.71 (talk) 09:46, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Code in http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/js-date5.htm#SLGD - agrees with the years stated above, but that is the maximum length of the current "+3 +8" pattern. For years 2000 to 2123, the current (2014-02-23) rule gives postponements in the years 2007 2012 2015 2023 2026 2034 2037 2039 2042 2045 2048 2050 2053 2061 2064 2066 2072 2075 2077 2080 2091 2102 2105 2107 2110 2118 2121. The full pattern must repeat every 5,700,000 years, and might not repeat sooner. 94.30.84.71 (talk) 13:23, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
