Untitled[edit]

Does anyone have information that deTomaso stopped production altogether?

  • As of today you still can order the two De Tomaso Guarà models "Coupé" and "Barchetta" in Switzerland and Austria. You might even order directly at the factory but in any case you have to make a deposit or a prepayment of, as I heard, the total amount. This isn't really convicing. As a result there's nearly nothing going on at the De Tomaso factory. Whether there are plans of closing the factory in the near future is not known ... but wouldn't be a surprise. BTW: use the sign function to show who you are. Best, --NicolasCH 11:41, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • How (if at all) does this material relate to the Innocenti De Tomaso article - neither links to the other - but they are both about Italian car stuff...weird. SteveBaker 19:52, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Innocenti was owned by De Tomaso for a while, and so DT put their own badges on a top-of-the-range (though this is strictly relative) Innocenti. They should be linked; I'll fiddle with them. James von Mann 22:55, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Miami Vice[edit]

When the TV series Miami Vice discontinued use of the Ferrari Daytona replica (the example used on the show was built from a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy Pace Car replica) at Ferrari's insistence, the show had a DeTomaso Pantera converted into a Testarossa replica for driving stunts. Ferrari supplied two real Testarossa cars free for the show to use for normal driving scenes. ISTR reading this in an article in Popular Mechanics magazine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.232.94.33 (talk) 05:35, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
