Error of which[edit]

On the IE/UK Season 1 box, for the episode "Rest in Peace" it says its George's 1st anniversary. Is this correct? Cause if it is, wouldn't they have passed Halloween by in the 1st Season, meaning that even if they don't show it, George should already have known about the face thing. I think its a plot hole, its common shows with short runs or large gaps between airdates, a couple episode of "Firefly" have had plot holes. - Pinkfloydfan 23:23, 09 January, 2006

"Der Waffle Haus" joke[edit]

Do we have a source for the following statement?

This is generally considered as a deliberate joke by the writers, since the original script had the names "Das Waffle Haus".

"Recently"[edit]

The article features the word "recently" numerous times, but considering the series has been cancelled a while ago, it doesn't seem like the right word anymore. I think better would be "later in the series" or something similar. Retodon8 12:58, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

70.110.142.239, a similar (or the same) link was added a while back, and IIRC, the consensus was to keep it off the encyclopedia page (article).

The petition is futile. Despite being an amazing show, I don't think the show will ever come back in the same form. If the reruns build up a larger fan base, a similar show may come back like Star Trek did. Just look at all the variation of CSI shows, the Charlie's Angel come backs, the same theme can be done with a different team of grim reapers with a different story line. I guess one big factor is that the original DLM was on ShowTime which is a premium channel and the fan base was limited. Now it is rerun on SciFi channel which is also cable TV not available to all audience. If this show starts to be rerun on the syndicate including those broadcast-over-the-air local channels, then there would be a slight chance the fan base would build up to a critical mass. It says on the main page that Roxy is probably a Southerner because of her passion for Peanut Poppies. How did the series end?[edit]

Did this series end abruptly? Like being cancelled by the network unexpectedly? Like having a cliff hanger in the last episode of the season but never returned in the next season? I watched the first season, but not the second after I cancelled subscription to Showtime. I thought the show was pretty interesting and it should have lasted more than two seaons. Thanks for the answer. Creating loose ends serves as a mild form of cliffhangers, it makes the audience to crave for the next season. It was definitely unexpected. The behind the scenes feature on the DVDs of the second season has the cast talking about how great the second season was and how the show is getting better and better, and they definitely have no idea it's over. Pacian 05:02, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The show was ended by Showtime who wasn't producing the show, and they don't like airing good rating shows that aren't produced by them. I can't remember who produced it but I know it wasn't Showtime.

You said it was a good rating show. It is against common wisdom to cancel a good rating show. There must be some other reasons, such as strong competition at the time, labor dispute etc.. Cannon facts[edit]

Sci-Fi Channel is running an expanded version of DLM.[edit]

Dead Like Me premiered on Sci-Fi Channel on July 18th, 2006 with the pilot episode. However the episode is now two hours long and includes many of the deleted scenes featured on the DVD release. Some of the new scenes are George getting her new identity papers at the DMV (BTW... There is no DMV in Seattle.
