Locked Room Mystery[edit]

This article previously stated that Death in the Clouds is a locked room mystery. If you compare the summary with the linked article, however, you find that this plot does not conform to the definition given there. It can be argued that this novel and Cards on the Table are representatives of a genre of mystery in which the number of suspects is physically specified, but this is not apparently what is meant by a "locked room mystery". --Sordel 19:16, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is mentioned in locked room mystery as (one of many) "classic examples of the genre". Although this may have been added because this article says so. --Lancevortex 22:22, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"He appears to be the killer, but how can he have committed the murder, when he was apparently in conversation with Jane Grey (the novel's effective heroine) throughout the flight?" In fact they never chatted throughout the flight - to the contrary they avoided even to look at each other. Whoever wrote this part of the story never read the book. --roadrunner_gs 21:42, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Role of Norman Gale[edit]

The plot summary completely omits not only the budding romance between Norman Gale and Jane Grey but also the differing effects on their professional lives, which are key plot elements. It's also downright incorrect in stating "[Gale] appears to be the killer, but how can he have committed the murder, when he was apparently in conversation with Jane Grey (the novel's effective heroine) throughout the flight?" They never speak a word to one another and in fact she deliberately ignores him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Machiajelly (talkcontribs) 20:58, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
