Add a movie (or three) to Nikos Koundouros?[edit]

There are four linkable ones in his Filmography section. I'm locked out. InedibleHulk (talk) 04:21, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the page got locked down due to an editor repeatedly adding content in that went against guidelines. I'm trying to get the level of page protection lowered so confirmed editors can continue maintaining the article. Rusted AutoParts 04:35, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
While those gears ungrind to a non-halt, I'll recommend we leave out The Face of Medusa. Nobody wants to see that. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:46, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New additions[edit]

Can't edit the page for whatever reason but deaths that need to be added are:

And whilst you're at it, unlock the page. This is utter madness and completely pointless. --Jkaharper (talk) 19:44, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article was placed under edit protection for three days, effective 03:44, February 23, 2017‎ by User:Oshwah, apparently due to edit-warring. — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 19:51, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Which is stupid. The irony is that I've been a contributing editor for 11 years here, longer than the administrator that imposed the lock. It is entirely possible to limit edits on a page so that only well established users can edit it. Would be a much more rational approach. This page gets some of the heaviest traffic on the entire web - if people can't contribute then it renders it effectively useless. --Jkaharper (talk) 20:01, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Jkaharper: — I agree. The action by Oshwah was heavy-handed and inappropriate. — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 20:14, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please add:

Thanks, Axolotl Nr.733 (talk) 19:49, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Correction. The action by the five-times reverting editor who has never visited the Deaths pages, the person who caused all this mayhem, is the one who has clearly been heavy-handed in his inappropriate edits. Ref (chew)(do) 20:20, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The proper action should have been to just block Islandersa since he/she refuses to discuss the thing on the talk page and he/she hasn't done any positive contributes to the article unlike the rest of us that have made several valuable contributions and are now prohibited to edit the page. Besides we already had a consensus amongst ourselves that the relationship should not have been mentioned in the entry. DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:11, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

DrKilleMoff - I know. But giving a protective admin fifty lashes over this ain't helping the situation. Blame the fool who waded in early with Size 24 boots. Ref (chew)(do) 21:42, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not blaming the admin. I understand why he did what he did even though I think it was exaggerated and the dispute could have been solved in a much easier way. DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:56, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to PedanticallySpeaking for weighing in here.[edit]

Hi. Big debt of gratitude necessary already to PedanticallySpeaking, who still retains edit rights to this page, and is doing some sterling work on behalf of the rest of us while we are "locked out". Thank you once again. Ref (chew)(do) 21:33, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Trevor Habberstad[edit]

I edited in that Trevor Habberstad dies from cancer, and was recently removed. Why is that? Bruh32123 (talk) 09:20, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I see no evidence of neither a COD addition nor removal. Do you have a diff link? — Wyliepedia 15:52, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
cancer is cause of death here, http://deadline.com/2017/02/trevor-habberstad-dead-x-men-stuntman-dies-27-1201945166/. And this lock down is annoying. Carptrash (talk) 18:10, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WARNING - Please Read[edit]

As we have so many changes per WP:IAR I am going to unlock the article so progress can be made, currently the entry for Leah Adler reads:

If anybody changes, removes or alters this entry they will be BLOCKED for disruptive editing without further discussion. If the entry has to be changed then we need a clear consensus on this talk page to alter the entry do not attempt to change the entry yourself - you will be blocked. MilborneOne (talk) 22:07, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

On behalf of all the regular contributors here, many thanks for your timely action. To those, small in number, who think it is cool to be disruptive, kindly note the definitive comments of the administrator.
Derek R Bullamore (talk) 00:35, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The WP:IAR point was made in the first instance to reason against the locking of this article, as it is one of the most constantly-changing and evolving environments in Wikipedia. May I add my personal thanks for the unlocking. Ref (chew)(do) 07:09, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
To all regular editors of good faith who work here: DO NOT REVERT THE EDIT MADE BY User:Islandersa AT THIS POINT - admin action now needs to be taken to ensure that particular editor does not repeat his mistake. The admin will then (I'm sure) revert the edit to its former state. In that anyone else who makes a reverting edit is probably also liable to blocking. Heads up. Ref (chew)(do) 19:20, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Which he has already, and I have a feeling that the editor won't be returning to revive it anytime soon. Ref (chew)(do) 19:23, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for letting me know, User:Islandersa has been blocked for disruptive editing per my warning, please take care and note the warning is still in force. MilborneOne (talk) 19:26, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Feb. 24 -- Daryl, not necessarily suicide[edit]

The cause of death for Daryl is unconfirmed. Wiki's page on Daryl states:

On February 24, 2017, Daryl was found hanged in his dressing room at Hollywood's Magic Castle. His death was ruled an accidental hanging. The medical examiner's medical watch commander said the medical examiner's finding was that the hanging was self-inflicted, though it was not ruled a suicide.[11] This contradicted earlier reports that stated he had committed suicide.[12], [13] 2602:304:CDA0:9220:FCC1:5665:454A:BE32 (talk) 02:52, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Changed to "accidental hanging". — Wyliepedia 03:23, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the "accidental" part. Not our style, though usually about traffic collisions. Simply not saying suicide or hanged is enough, I think. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:26, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Anything but without a suicide mention, as violation of BLP even in death. Most likely, he was practicing a new magic trick. — Wyliepedia 03:31, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The department's public record says he (or someone very similar) committed suicide and the case is closed. Several secondary sources agree, which would seem to be conclusive enough. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:36, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Horse obituaries[edit]

It's getting a little ridiculous....Probablynoteworthy (talk) 05:07, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Horses die just like humans do. They'll continue to be listed here until deemed otherwise. Rusted AutoParts 05:18, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Any living being that qualifies for an article under WP:notability is listed here when he, she or it dies. It's called "Deaths in 2017", not Human deaths in 2017. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 05:38, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Borderline crazy talk
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.
What's ridiculous is how Chief Bearhart is (as of 2013) a dead Canadian American Champion Male Turf Horse, while Horse's Ghost and Long Time Sleep were living, breathing Native American men who raced as novelties against humans in the American Automobile Association's 1913 "National Reliability Tour".
What's ridiculous is how the latter later threw around the mortal remains of a pig (almost like in real sports) and once soundly outwrestled a declawed, detoothed bear at halftime, primarily to promote fullblooded Airedale terriers as the superior race of dog. What the hell, NFL?
But what's not ridiculous is how horses have been legitimate stars on this planet since way before we got here, and are still objectively far better at running, lifting, pulling, pushing, jumping and generally impressing women. We name our driving force horsepower, our common sense horse sense and our shrewdest business horse trading. So when a very fine horse with legions of fans who won piles of cash and had his face in the papers shuffles off, the least we can do is simply note it. Maybe by 2113, even horse redlinks won't seem weird anymore. InedibleHulk (talk) 11:19, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think consensus is well-established on this subject. It doesn't hurt to challenge it, but this is one I feel will not get modified to exclude animals with articles. If there's ridicule in any particular animal having an article, challenge that within the article Talk page, not here. Ref (chew)(do) 15:27, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Eric Miller (record producer)[edit]

Hello all,

I just saw that Eric Miller was believed to have died Saturday (Feb.24) by Billboard here -> [14] but if you read the end of the article you see they have taken this article from THR (The Hollywood Reporter) and when you click on it you have the article of THR who say that he died Saturday (without giving a specific date). But between us, my guess is that Billboard is wrong, they calculated that Saturday is the 24th but in reality we know, us, that Saturday is the 25th. I'm sure that if this article would appear later in The New York Times they would put the 25th. It's a name to wait that appears in a major newspaper if it had to appear. Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 14:20, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You need to provide a solid and reliable source which clearly states that he died on the 25th for any change to occur. Given that the only good source does mention "Saturday 24th", that's the one we would run with, obviously, until you prove otherwise with facts through great referencing. Best wishes. Ref (chew)(do) 15:30, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if it's a good source but here is one ->[15], but we could wait to see if others sources will come... Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 21:14, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I surmise this as just being a typo. Saturday remains as the constant date, so it's safe to take that as being the DOD. Rusted AutoParts 21:20, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Therefore we are in agreement since today it's Tuesday the 28, Saturday was the 25 [16]. The typo was on Billboard. --Danielvis08 (talk) 21:55, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well spotted (the typo) and well persevered, here. I have therefore moved Miller to the "Saturday" - which is the 25th and not the errant 24th. Thanks again. Ref (chew)(do) 22:38, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
