Eric Martin accident[edit]

Aargh, it had to be mentioned... The controversy was somewhat ludricous - it was said that "a driver that inexperienced (Renshaw) shouldn't be running at Charlotte, it's too dangerous"; it was conviently ignored that she'd run Talladega the previous week and finished in the top 10. Charlotte/Lowe's more dangerous than restrictor-plate 'Dega? As if...

Also you almost never hear that Martin had unstrapped and removed his steering wheel, making the steering column a waiting battering ram, before confirming that the track was cleared. But dead men can do no wrong, I suppose. - Aerobird, who was annoyed then and is still bitter now 03:14, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One thing I heard was that she didn't have a spotter, thus she didn't know about Martin's crash. Mind you, she probably could have seen that he had crashed, but I don't think she should be automatically 100% blamed for what happened, even if she has been rather crash-prone throughout he career. --D-Day My fan mail. Accuracy dispute[edit]

I may have interperted this wrong, but I believe the statement that says she was the first woman to attempt a full schedule in one of three premier series is incorrect. Patty Moise ran a couple of full schedules in the Busch Series (including when she DNQ-d) as did Tammy Jo Kirk I believe. --D-Day I'm all ears How can I improve? 13:03, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
