"The name is derived from the fact that the first people to see these measurements erroneously reported that they had discovered sunken islands" - is this referring to the phrase "phantom bottom" in the previous sentence, or something else? --McGeddon (talk) 13:28, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
