Notability[edit]

Thanks @Shout4Serenity for creating this article. I understand that you believe that this song is notable, but I'm not seeing it right now. The sources you mention in your edit summary here are not appropriate for that; for example, Young's breakdown of the song is not independent coverage, and sheet music hosted anywhere is not significant reliable coverage. I would note that WP:NSONGS makes quite clear that its criteria only indicate a likelihood of notability. We still need sources in accordance with that guideline; the song needs to be the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the artist and label. I don't want to go to WP:AFD right away, since you were aware of that AFD when you created the article, so I presume you have a strong argument for standalone notability. I see where you are coming from. I had thought that the Cross Rhythm source was independently sufficient enough to get this song to warrant its own article outside of the music video sources that were previously discussed in the AFD. If the article is not good enough for a standalone for now, I am not opposed to moving it back to the drafts for further improvements. Shout4Serenity (talk) 13:58, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved it to Draft:Deer in the Headlights 2 because Draft:Deer in the Headlights already exists. What happened there? A history merge may be required if someone pasted content without attribution. Actualcpscm scrutinize, talk 14:06, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It was an original draft that I had created for the song. You can merge the two together. Shout4Serenity (talk) 14:12, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If there's no unattributed copying, there's probably no need to bother an admin with a WP:HISTMERGE. Anyway, good luck with this draft, and happy editing! :) Actualcpscm scrutinize, talk 14:18, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
