Derek Scott was a member of the Errol Curling Club, Scotland for 29 years continuously. He joined the Errol club in 1962/63 as a Regular Member. His last year of membership, in 1990/91, coincided with a change in policy by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club (RCCC), governing body for curling in Scotland, applicable to all RCCC affiliated clubs and which changed the status of Regular Members to Ordinary Members. He served as President of the Errol curling club in 1967/68 (Source: RCCC Annuals, various years). Never a member of any other curling club, Derek Scott was a member of Errol curling club at all relevant times in his curling career (personal communication, November 12th, 2022).
