Lead[edit]

  • "The orchestra's broadcasts could be received across most of North America" - odd, it says in the prose half of North America. Which is correct?
The map in the article shows more than half. And if one was talking about population at the time, it would be way more. In fact, it shows that transmission extends well down into Central America. This is not a material distinction. Pick what you want. 7&6=thirteen () 13:01, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Done - corrected lead to read half way across North America. --Doug Coldwell (talk) 14:51, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Background[edit]

  • "sometimes referred to as the "little symphony,"" - by whom exactly? Do we know?
Here "The Detroit News Orchestra - American Radio History" (PDF). p. 22. Retrieved April 11, 2020.
 Done - copy edited accordingly. -- Doug Coldwell (talk) 15:11, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "for churches, schools, and other non-profit organization as a public relations outreach to their listeners." - organizations
Done corrected. --Doug Coldwell (talk) 15:13, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Listers in Hawaii[edit]

  • "The transmission was received clearly at 6:30 P.M. local time in the Hawaiian Islands by A. F. Costa, the postmaster at Wailuku, Hawaii." - I think the mention of Hawaii at the end of this sentence is redundant since the Hawaiian Islands are mentioned earlier in this sentence.
Done - copy edit fix. --Doug Coldwell (talk) 15:22, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "over 4,400 miles (7,100 km) from Detroit." - more than?
Done - that was more than --Doug Coldwell (talk) 15:23, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

  • The ISBNs of the sources are missing and it would be benefical if they were included
 Fixed 7&6=thirteen () 18:11, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
 Done --Doug Coldwell (talk) 16:39, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
