missing citations and poor construction of article body and lede[edit]

@Normchou: I noticed several additions from you without any citations. This gets an article in trouble quickly, so I've flagged them. Please supply strong source for these and any future additions.

Separately, this article lede does not follow the ideal standard of being a summation of just the key points from the article body. Normally, the goal is to have no citations in the lede because all facts in the lede are summarized from the article body where they are fully supported by citations. Once some sources are in place for all facts, I'm glad to help move them all into the article body so that the lede can be rewritten as simply a key summary of facts from the body with no citations needed. Kirkus Reviews commentary on what is real[edit]

It is ridiculous to use a quote that someone at Kirkus Reviews wrote claiming that there is something to the nonsense about UFO abductions. This is an instance of quoting a reviewer who has no business describing what is actually true. jps (talk) 17:05, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The need for WP:FRIND sources[edit]

Text is being cited to a transcript hosted at thedaughtersgrimoire.com, which seems to specialize in credulous UFO narratives. It's not a WP:FRIND source, and we need one to both avoid advocacy when describing the fringe concepts, and gauge the notability of same. - LuckyLouie (talk) 23:35, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
