10 hours and 39 minutes.[edit]

Only 1 day until Dog Days comes out, 1 day, 1 day until we can get this page really alive, 1 day until we'll have something real to talk about, 1 day for you too go back and read The Last Strawagain. To me this page is like a baby just waiting to be born.DellTG5 (talk) 17:24, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Improve Page[edit]

We should really improve the page.Tennispro45 23:37, 14 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tennispro45 (talkcontribs)

yeah, it reads like a really bad book report. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.176.249.232 (talk) 19:59, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To be fair, I'll bet that a lot of the people writing this stuff are kids, but I agree that it does need a lot of work. The plot summary needs to be trimmed to a couple of paragraphs. We need to look at the coverage this book has had in reliable sources and use that for source material. If the book has appeared on any (respectable) "best sellers" lists then that should also be included. In short, we need to get away from fan writing that is almost "in universe" and step back a bit so we can see the book in context. --DanielRigal (talk) 23:07, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Totally. I tried trimming the plot, but someone reverted it. 209.175.117.2 (talk) 18:46, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. This page is virtually unwatched and there is heavy vandalism on many Diary of a Wimpy Kid'-related articles. Dog Days would surely be a good target for vandals to strike. Secret Saturdays (talk) 00:37, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He's right. I saw that someone wrote at the bottom of the Plot, "How will this epic book end?". I fixed it, but it is not as acterit. We must fix it!DellTG5 (talk) 11:20, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the bottom. The plot looks OK now, but lots of lines from the book. 74.46.30.192 (talk) 22:07, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Book 5?[edit]

You said that the next book out would be "We're Moving." Where's the source? 96.61.180.182 (talk) 18:34, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ladybug[edit]

I always assumed that the ladybug Greg got for his birthday was a parody of a Jitterbug, but the plot section says that its a parody of a firefly.Spidey53225 (talk) 18:07, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's the latter. A Jitterbug does have a keypad.209.175.117.2 (talk) 18:45, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need a "Diffrences from Funbrain Webcomic" section?[edit]

I noticed that this page is the only DOAWK book page to have a differences section. While it probably sounded like a good idea at first, it is waaaaay too long in the actual article. So, should we add a "Diffrences from Funbrain Webcomic" section to EVERY book page, or just remmove the whole thing althougther? Franklly, I support the latter, as the whole section is too detailed and seems like trivia. SailorSonic

I found vandalism on some of the Wimpy Kid pages[edit]

Just look at the editing did on this Wimpy Kid book! I had to write to say I fixed it by reverting it back!

If anybody vandalizes, I will go to their user talk and block them for editing any of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books or related pages like Greg Heffley.

Name change[edit]

I feel that this page should be titled Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days without "(novel)" at the end as all of the other novels have this. While this could lead to confusion with the movie, the first book, Rodrick Rules and The Long Haul (all of which have received film adaptions) are still titled without "(novel)" at the end and as such this seems out of place. --Wasabi OS (talk) 11:14, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
