Is the note about using a password to get around the 5-client limit still accurate? When I tested it with iTunes 7 this was not the case. Could I get someone else to confirm? --Jamiew 22:29, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marked the statement with [citation needed] tag. I also moved the list of software to List of software using Digital Audio Access Protocol page. --Nithin 20:18, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It should be noted that the current DAAP version is not 7.0, instead 3.0 (see http://forums.fireflymediaserver.org/viewtopic.php?p=6645&sid=403371817d9197c0af6eb1a7e3bb594f#6645 for a discussion). If someone could verify this from a more reliable source, the article can be modifed. --Nithin 02:53, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There should be a comparsion with other Music-Sharing-Protocols, like the one used by Windows Media Player. --92.226.135.41 (talk) 15:32, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The link to Digital Media Access Protocol (DMAP) is broken. I can't find any reference to the acronym or full name in Google or Apple. Please consider removing the last sentence referring to it as the protocol underlying DAAP and DPAP. Uniquenm (talk) 11:43, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is seriously outdated at this time (May 2011). It should mention names like Miro, AirPlay, and shairport. I don't have the knowledge to contribute, but I do know it is out of date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.161.162.88 (talk) 17:16, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

iTunes Server® + outdated article[edit]

Added some brief info regarding iTunes Server: needs more upto date/useful info though. Also, as mentioned above by other users here, the info seems quite outdated, so could do with some updates. --Jimthing (talk) 11:25, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Official forum has been abandoned[edit]

I have removed the link to the official forum as it is abandoned and now full of spam and links to porn: http://www.opendaap.org — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.11.10.178 (talk) 10:23, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What problems exactly does DAAP address?[edit]

"DAAP addresses the same problems for Apple as the UPnP AV standards address for members of the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)." --Bstard12 (talk) 21:06, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
