Question: This article does not mention some acronyms I think are related, but I don't know for sure. 1. Does DTTB (Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcast) is a title for DMB-T/H given to it after it was selected as a netional standard by NSC (NAtional Standartization Committee)? 2. DTMB is yet another acronym for DMB-T/H.

Can someone shase light where these acronyms came from, some history and politics behind them?

DTTB, stands for "Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting". At sometime, China had used DTTB as the name of the standard. But final name chosen as DTMB (Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting), in drafting stage, the name was shown as DMB-T/H (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting-Terrestrial/Handheld). --210.17.218.29 05:58, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. There were the names of ADTB-T and DMB-T/(H) before that the National Standardization Committee made the final approval. But since the publication of “Framing Structure, Channel Coding and Modulation for Digital Television Terrestrial broadcasting System GB 20600-2006” by China National Standardization Committee, DTMB is the only name left. GB is Chinese name of National Standard.

I would like to know and to confirm[edit]

In article it states: "In 2020, the terrestrial digital TV of the People's Republic of China will be fully turned to high definition".

It has been written long time ago, and since Now is the year 2020:

I would like to know if that already happened?, what are plans? Have plans been changed? When the proceeding will be full?

And when there will be no more SDTV in China on Terrestrial Broadcast? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.221.231.106 (talk) 18:15, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
