Deletion[edit]

This page should be deleted. Sarcastic false names have no place in an encyclopedia. Should we create a redirect for Faux News to Fox News, or any other of the tens of thousands of sarcastic inventions used as put-downs? While Richard Stallman is known for his sarcastic false names, this isn't one of them.

The term "digital restrictions management" is an accurate and fairly precise description of the concept. The term "digital rights management" does not make as much sense, "rights" (copyrights) are not being managed, they are being enforced. In this way, "management" is used as a bit of a weasel word. Additionally, DRM can and likely would exist and be used without any legal concept of copyright.

Despite the term's association with opposition to DRM, the two terms are often^{[clarification needed]} used interchangeably, including on Wikipedia.^{[citation needed]}

Regardless, I don't think anyone who comes across the term on Wikipedia wants to be redirected to the Opposition section.

This is all your opinion. The term "Faux News" is an accurate and fairly precise description of Fox. But, Fox is the name. The originators get to create the name -- not critics.
