Requested move 17 July 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. Moving, but there isn’t consensus what to do with the current page title, either redirecting or disambiguating. That’s for another discussion. (non-admin closure) - 🔥𝑰𝒍𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒆 (𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌)🔥 23:02, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dimitrios DimitriouDimitrios Dimitriou (swimmer) – Apart from the sailor Dimitrios Dimitriou, a stub on whom was converted in March into a redirect to Sailing at the 1980 Summer Olympics – 470, there is the famous writer Dimitrios Dimitriou, whose article it is difficult to find by searching for his Greek name. None of these figures is clearly more likely than the others to be the object of searches for 'Dimitrios Dimitriou', so turning 'Dimitrios Dimitriou' into a disambiguation page seems to me to be the best option. • Support as per nom. 162 etc. (talk) 15:22, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. There's no other article needing this title. Just add Dimitrija Demeter to the hatnote if necessary. Station1 (talk) 05:25, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't automatically make this swimmer (who barely meets WP:NSPORT) a primary topic. Realistically, Dimitrios Dimitriou could be a primary redirect; but WP:NOPRIMARY, as proposed by OP, is fine also. 162 etc. (talk) 18:44, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. If the writer was never known by this name then possibly I might agree with Station1, but he clearly is. Probably the primary topic into the bargain, so Dimitrios Dimitriou should redirect to the writer and a disambiguation page created. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:44, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and support redirecting to Dimitrija Demeter. Seems to be a clear primary topic over the swimmer. WPscatter t/c 13:33, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
