Article is in dire need of expansion[edit]

This article is extremely short and incomplete, as such it should be expanded in more detail than what it currently has. The plot needs to be expanded, information on the films production and reception needs to be added as well.--Paleface Jack (talk) 04:59, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merger Proposal[edit]

This article doesn't have a lot of information on its subject and there doesn't seem to be a lot of references as well. Although it is significant I suggest instead of it being its own article that it be merged with the article on Begotten which this film was a sequel to.--Paleface Jack (talk) 19:06, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:02, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It has been over two months since I proposed a merger of this article and its predecessor Begotten (film). I don't know if this means that it's alright to merge this article with Begotten or not since there was no one who agreed or disagreed with the merger.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:34, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Quite some time has passed since the initial proposal, and there haven't been very many responses (to say the least). Not only that, but the Celestial Birds article doesn't have much content in terms of being a full fledged article and the page doesn't get much traffic. We could open a discussion at the WikiProject to see if anyone else comments but, other than that, I don't see any reason not to just move ahead with the merge. After all, it is a short film (and it was even played alongside Begotten at a festival). DarkKnight2149 16:34, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Twas my master plan. There is just too few sources for this film to make it wort while as an article unless it's in the article on Begotten. Go ahead and open a discussion on the article on the WikiProject and we shall see what we get, although I doubt we will get any major responses if any.--Paleface Jack (talk) 18:27, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have alerted WP:FILM, WP:HORROR, and the American Cinema Task Force. If the dearth of responses continues, then I think it would be safe to move ahead with the merge. DarkKnight2149 20:04, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that MatthewHoobin brought this up on the Begotten Talk Page a while back. Do you have any thoughts on this, Matthew? Tagging: @MatthewHoobin: @Paleface Jack: DarkKnight2149 09:45, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me like Din of Celestial Birds should be merged into Begotten, and if it eventually becomes notable to the point where it merits its own article, then such an action can be undertaken. Until that hypothetical time, I say merge 'em. –Matthew - (talk) 01:58, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree.--Paleface Jack (talk) 15:11, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Paleface Jack: @MatthewHoobin: It's November and no one has objected or really responded. I'm going to go ahead and merge them. The worst that can happen is a revert (in which case, further discussion would probably commence). DarkKnight2149 17:58, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Merger complete. Let me know if I left anything important out. DarkKnight2149 18:05, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
