Yes, and Ding Lei is a businessman. He has had several other positions that are just as notable as him being the founder of Human Horizons, so it wouldn't make sense to just focus on that one thing in the article's title. LewisMCYoutube (talk) 12:56, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. Birth year used as a standalone parenthetical qualifier is generally avoided unless descriptive details regarding subject are lost to history. Since he is also described as an engineer, this nomination may be considered for reformatting as Ding Lei (businessman, born 1963) → Ding Lei (automotive engineer), per such entries as William Daniels (automotive engineer), Dave Hill (automotive engineer) or even Horacio Pagani (auto executive). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 19:32, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
He is not actually an engineer. He is a businessman who served as the general managers in the automative industry and an entrepreneur who created an EV company. He also served as deputy district mayor of Shanghai's Pudong New Area. Using "automative engineer" for him is too narrow and does not catch the essence of what he did (while raising WP:OR concerns).
