Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

POV phrase in lede[edit]

"...one of the most remarkable navigators..."

translation[edit]

" Aqui chegaram os navios do esclarecido rei D.João II de Portugal - Diogo Cão, Pero Anes, Pero da Costa." (" Here arrived the ships of king John II of Portugal – Diogo Cão, Pero Anes, Pero da Costa”.

the translation is incorrect. the portuguese word "esclarecido" is missing from the english translation. the word's meaning is "enlightened" the correct translation of the inscription is: " Here arrived the ships of the enlightened King John II of Portugal – Diogo Cão, Pero Anes, Pero da Costa”

Nowadays location of the Cape Cross padrão[edit]

The article says: "the Cape Cross padrão is now at Kiel". Actually, it is in Berlin, in the Deutsches Historisches Museum. It can be seen on-line at:
