Small portions of text from several pages was copied or moved into Direct rule. The source pages' history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted so long as the latter page exists.
After sterling work by disambiguators, there remain a few incoming links relevant to Nepal, etc. or to the concept of direct rule in general. The topics being "disambiguated" are just different values of X and Y in "Xland runs Yland", rather than homonyms with distinct meanings like Mercury.
