Missing numbers[edit]

MI5 and MI6[edit]

Bad sources and contentious facts[edit]

MI13 may well still be classified, or it may not exist due to plain and simple superstition... i believe that the latter proposition is more likely.

I have removed the offending section. Someone blessed with more time on their hands maybe able to provide a better explanation for the missing divisions...

MI6?[edit]

This article needs to explain what MI6 was originally. Sure, it's the foreign intelligence service now, but surely that wasn't the 6th section they formed?! If other sections spied in Russia etc, what was Section 6's original brief? The current article on MI6 says spying in Russia was its forte in WW1, so how does this make sense?--Jack Upland (talk) 11:01, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disinformation[edit]

The main source of information here seems to be the security establisment, who have no motive to tell the truth and who denied the existence of MI5 and 6 until the end of the Cold War (despite the exposes of Philby etc). Typo or Correct Info?[edit]

Sections > Name > MI10 > Current Status > “Merged into MI16 after World War II”

Is this a typo? Should this say “Merged into [MI6]after[…]” or is the MI16 designation correct? I am unsure, hence the question here, not an instant correction.
