Libya disarmament as a result of the Iraq War[edit]

The article fails to impart what appears obvious to a casual observer, that Libyan WMD disarmament was a direct result of the Iraq War.

Muamar Gadhdhafi had been trying since the 1970s to obtain nuclear weapons.[1] Yet he only agreed to disarm months after the invasion of Iraq, and ten days after Saddam Hussein was captured.[2]

Also reference "reported statements of Libyan President Qadhdhafi to Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi including, 'I will do whatever the Americans want, because I saw what happened in Iraq, and I was afraid.'"[3]
