Diss (dictionary definition)[edit]

Here are just some examples of the word diss, as used in rap and hip hop slang. The word appears in mainstream media, I actually looked it up after coming upon it in Newsweek. It would be worth adding it in your encyclopedia, but I would leave the definition to you... Iva_Plesingerova@yahoo.com

You might want to check out the entry in Wikitionary http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/diss Wikitionary is a sister project of Wikipedia, focusing on definitions of words. MarcusGraly 19:53, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Slow food" town?[edit]

Diss is a slow food town, isn't it? Or so I've been told by my friend who's just about to move there. See also: [1] (see the very bottom of the page). Richard W.M. Jones 19:52, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism Jan/Feb 2009[edit]

A lot of recent vandalism, seemingly by a group of IP users working together. Just about every edit needs to be checked as a result - reverts are missing some vandalism as a result. Might be a good idea to double check things; I think the article as of now is reliable -- Blue Square Thing (talk) 10:18, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I saw this and removed a lot of the vandalism. Trying to keep everything in-tact that was here before. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.102.68 (talk) 18:36, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair Green and its glacial boulder[edit]

There used to be, and might still be, an old webpage which gave a lot of information about the glacial boulder or stone on Fair Green, but I have not been able to find it. It might have been archived at archive dot org. The boulder was left behind when the Scandinavian glaciers retreated during one of the ice-ages. As far as I recall it has been moved around in modern times.

The large metal grey ping-pong table that has been placed on Fair Green is an ugly eyesore that I have never ever ever seen anyone using. It is very out of character for a green area. Would be better in somewhere like Tesco's or Morrison's car parks, or recycled. 92.24.184.199 (talk) 11:45, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It should not be confused with the smaller darker stone in Diss park. They are both likely to be Glacial erratics. 92.24.187.169 (talk) 10:59, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
