Untitled[edit]

I am not Dom. I just want to state his importance in the drumming world. He is a fairly well known figure. --LBUT** 04:26, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you cite a reliable source for that? If so, add it in. Perel 05:31, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Self-reference[edit]

I'm concerned that reference #2 on this article is for the person's own web page; I believe that's against Wikipedia policy. Is there any other way this could be cited? Accounting4Taste 20:28, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, this self reference should be removed - SJ --Sanjuronyc (talk) 04:29, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dating Error: Years Active[edit]

The article states he was born in 1953 and began drumming professionally at age 12 yet the years active indicate 1956 - present ( which would mean he was active professionally at age 3 ). My guess is that this was mistyped and was meant to be entered as 1966. --Sanjuronyc (talk) 04:29, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unsubstantiated or difficult to verify claims[edit]

I'm actually a modest fan of the man's drumming which is how I ended up on this page however the content of the article concerns me.

Reference to being called "Drumming's Global Ambassador" in the second paragraph: I couldn't really find a reliable source for this. It appears that many places have cited him as such but they all seem to have copied information directly from his website or a press sheet.

In paragraph four there are several difficult to verify statements. 1) He has directed and emceed major drumming expos - which expos, why do they qualify as major? 2) Has been one of one of drumming's most sought-after private instructors for over 30 years - I don't know how to begin to verify that 3) He has taught many of today's leading drummers - Which drummers? 4) Students regularly fly in from around the globe for intensive study with Dom - Which Students? 5) Dom acts as Education Director and consultant for several leading drum companies - Which companies

In paragraph five: He has several signature series sticks by Vic Firth - The Vic Firth website doesn't list any signature sticks though he may have had them in the past his artist page on the Vic Firth website lists his stick of choice as an American Classic HD9, a stock model. --Sanjuronyc (talk) 04:29, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Works ?[edit]

All of this logorrhoea and weakly disguised commercial message about clinics, masterclasses, speaches and so on is amazingly interesting, but how about making music: who did he play with, any albums where he's credited (maybe as Drumming's Global Ambassador, Tony Robbins or Gandhi of the drum industry). --Olivier Debre (talk) 19:20, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
