Family Background[edit]

Since its addition to the article- citing a published source itself citing a contemporary legitimate news source- the following section has been deleted with no explanation by a likely invested party: "When Johnson was six months old, his mother fatally stabbed his father after an argument over a burnt meal; although two guests attempted to assist him, Patrick Johnson died two days later in hospital aged thirty one. Johnson's mother, aged twenty seven, was found guilty of manslaughter on grounds of diminished responsibility, and sent to Rooksdown Hospital in Hampshire; she was subsequently released and remarried, living in Paris. Johnson and his older sister were raised by their maternal grandparents." Whilst it's understandable that perhaps this doesn't cast the best light in the eyes of people who hold strong ideas on "respectability" etc, the fact remains the occurrence was notable enough to have received the attention- in newsprint and the cited published source- and was a major biographical occurrence for the article subject. Simply including "Johnson and his older sister were raised by their maternal grandparents" does absolutely nothing except raise a question for the article reader, one quite satisfactorily dealt with by the lengthier paragraph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.192.241 (talk) 19:10, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rooksdown Hospital?[edit]

I have only ever heard the former main psychiatric hospital in North Hampshire referred to as "Park Prewett". What is the basis for referring to it as "Rooksdown"? Was it ever called this? Calling the new settlement "Rooksdown" seems to be a way of avoiding its association with Park Prewett. Ntmr (talk) 15:21, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
