Interesting bio, on few but good sources, no copyvio obvious. I like the Anglo-Zulu war mentioned in a hook, but find the CIA in Berlin telling us more about him than a chance meeting, and perhaps would even prefer his new perspective on the War. ALT2a: ... that Donald R. Morris wrote most of The Washing of the Spears, his history of the Anglo-Zulu War, while he worked for the CIA in Berlin when the Berlin Wall was built?

(thinking that the exact years in Berlin don't matter so much, - open for more ALTs)
