Date of birth?[edit]

The following was posted to the article page from IPs 69.225.38.120 (on Feb 3, 2008) and 207.34.126.10 (on Jan 16, 2008). I moved it here: "Please double check her date of birth. Article mentions she picked up some girls off of Charlie Utter's wagon train. Charlie Utter and his wagon train arrived in Deadwood in July of 1876. Wouldn't that make her 3 years old at the time? I think is it was around 1868 when she was born." Tierlieb (talk) 21:59, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, she was born in 1873 and author of the article missed her with Mollie Johnson. According to my knowledge Dora become "borthel-mama" ten years later, when Mollie decided to leave Deadwood for good. In 1880s there was no space for two big brothels in Deadwood, which became regular mining town with population of 2-3 thousand, and inclination for "cleaning up" from bandits, killers, gamblers and prostitutes. belissarius (talk) 02:42, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dates still don’t make sense. Article says “The gold rush hit Deadwood, South Dakota when she was around 15,” but the Deadwood gold rush was in 1876, which would make her two or seven years old if she was birn in 1873 or 1868. What is the truth? Dodiad (talk) 06:12, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
