Notability?[edit]

Doraemon merits a page, but I don't think episodes individually or collectively have "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. (WP:Television episodes, WP:Notability)" (The episode list on the Asahi TV site is a single source that I don't consider to be "significant coverage".) Also, "Wikipedia is not a directory. (WP:What Wikipedia is not)" -- Meyer (talk) 08:36, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My comments made at Talk: List of Doraemon episodes apply here as well. A series with over 350 episodes is certainly notable enough (and has enough episodes, too) to have a separate "List of...episodes" article. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 10:22, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that we continue discussion on the notability of this page at Talk:List of Doraemon episodes#Notability?. -- Meyer (talk) 10:37, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's why I referred you to that discussion. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 10:45, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Exporting episode list[edit]

I would like to discuss the potential export of our 8-section episode list here to List_of_Doraemon_episodes_(2005_anime). This was done with the preceding series, and the 2005 (third) series has far more episodes than many other series which have such list pages. Is there any cleanup to be done prior to this? I have included a red link to this page in both the right box and in Template:Doraemon. So that doesn't get removed I am tempted to just be bold and remove it from here and add it there... but it's a bit intimidating to do it all on your own, anyone else second the benefit of this and want to put it there? Sources[edit]

I have removed the unreliable and other unsuitable sources as well aa their claims.

The misuse of sources from the main Doraemon article have been removed because they are the result of WP:Synthesis and do not support the claims they make. mainly that the HK dub is being broadcast in the UK. Find a reliable source that explains this directly and clearly if it is true. Fan blogs are not reliable so at least one of those has been removed. As for the use of an episode hosted illegally on youtube as a source this is clearly WP:copyvio and inexcusable.SephyTheThird (talk) 13:25, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Castlist[edit]

Is anyone more familiar with the series to determine which of these characters warrant a cast list mention? The central cast Is generally spoken of a Doraemon, Nobita and a few of the kids (4, perhaps 5?). Some of the characters might be recurring roles but are they sufficient enough to be warrant a mention? If the cast list is narrowed down to the major roles then we can use a multi column table to summarise them rather than a long list of names that give no indication of the significance of a character. It would also help keep the list verified and sourcable. We certainly don't need to list episode specific roles or "additional voices".SephyTheThird (talk) 22:15, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Canada[edit]

Hey, so I've removed all mentions of this series having aired on Disney XD Canada. The reason being? I can't find a shred of proof that it actually ran on it. Doing some digging, it looks like the mention was first added by Otakuman101 on January 31, 2016, stating that nine episodes aired the prior June. He later changed this date to August 2015 in June. Neither addition was sourced and the sliding dates raise alarm bells.

The damning evidence is that the series isn't listed in Disney XD Canada's filings with the CRTC for either month. Just to thoroughly debunk the "summer 2015" comment, here's the log from July. Doraemon is also absent. The only sites saying it aired on the channel are unsourced Wiki edits ... Damnedfan1234 (talk) 04:26, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Doraemon (1973 anime) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 15:31, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Australia[edit]

Did the English dub actually air on Network Ten? By 2015, the channel's children's programming had been on Eleven for a few years. I also can't find any proof suggesting it ran on either. An Australian enthusiast who's been documenting local broadcast TV runs for nearly 20 years has no mention of it airing. Contrast this to the show's broadcast on Boomerang which is supported by a TV promo and credible listings. Given the nonsense regarding an alleged Canadian broadcast, I'm inclined to believe the show never aired on Ten. - Damnedfan1234 (talk) 17:25, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Doraemon 2005 TV series Imdb credit page has been vandalized.[edit]

To the Wikipedia staff.

There's an imdb credit problem with the Doraemon 2005 TV series at this link [[1]] They do not match up with your wikipedia credits and someone from IMDB has vandalized the credits, I tried to request the IMDB staff to remove the fake credit names and I'm not having much success. Can we get the copyright owner companies Shogakukan to investigate? CrosswalkX (talk) 17:51, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
