Discovery disputed[edit]

86.155.137.233 added the following material, which I have moved here as it is unencyclopaedic and unsourced:

This was well known to locals way before 1997, I was taken by my father in the mid-1970s to see this phenomenon and witnessed many times in the 1980s.

However, it does raise questions of how new or notable this so-called phenomenon is, and whether Jeff Kent's contribution is as important as claimed in the article. I have my doubts—I wonder if there is some WP:PROMO/WP:SPA going on here; the article relies on a single source and the main substantive contributor Snoobysoo has a suspiciously similar set of interests (based on a now-deleted article Jeff Kent (author)). Citations[edit]

On 30 April, I added a variety of citations to the article, so that it's now taken from a number of different sources. Therefore shouldn't the single source headline be removed?Snoobysoo (talk) 12:00, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Examples elsewhere[edit]

I think there was undue emphasis on Staffordshire/Derbyshire, so I have put in some material about a Scottish site as a start to correcting the balance.--Thoughtfortheday (talk) 13:33, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
