Email from Doug Shapiro[edit]

I have received an email from Doug Shapiro, requesting help to improve his Wikipedia page. I don't know if I am the only one who received such an email. Doug wrote that he wanted to have his article improved to the level of Joop Zoetemelk's article, where he found my username. He also offered to pay for my time.

Because of this last addition, I decided to reply here in the open, in stead of privately in an email. I don't know if there is a rule on Wikipedia to prevent paying editors to write articles, but I'm not going to burn my hands on it.

Still, this article can be improved, and having the help of Doug Shapiro could make it a lot easier. Therefore some questions to Doug Shapiro:

  • Can you give a picture of you that we can use in this article? Please mind that the copyrights on this image should be suitable for use on Wikipedia, let me know if this gives you questions.
  • Do you have some articles about you, not written by yourself, that are not yet used in the article? If so, we can use them as sources.
  • Is the information about your cycling career on cyclingarchives complete?
  • In which World Cycling Championships did you compete? I think you rode in the 1988 road race in Ronse, but was that your only one?

This information can be used as a basis to improve this article. --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 16:35, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
