Notes about Japan/Japanese support in PC version[edit]

This reference in the article page says DQB2 is the first PC installment of the DQ games that can be bought from Japan and supports Japanese. In fact, it's not accurate enough.

First, note that Steam versions of Dragon Quest Heroes 1, Heroes 2, and XI were published prior to Builders 2. The points are:

  • Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2 do have Japanese voices. However the Japanese UIs and subtitles of the console versions were dropped.
  • Heroes 1 can be bought from Japan.

So put correctly, DQB2 is the first that retains the full Japanese environment, and at the same time, that can be purchased from Japan. In jargon, DQB2 is completely "omakuni"-free.

These points can be confirmed from this page I wrote, but it does not meet the criteria of Wikipedia's reliable sources. :P (It's not CC BY-SA nor GFDL.) I don't think there exists any "good" source that describes the above points correctly, so probably there's nothing we can do. --D9w.hatena (talk) 05:48, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • It does not even seem that notable to me anyway, and since the claim is wrong/dubious, I think we should just remove it for now. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:27, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
