Merger proposal

I would say no, since the Playmakers Theatre is about the actual building "Historic Playmakers", and the other article is about the regional theatre company that is in residence at UNC-chapel hill. If it must be merged, historic playmakers should go into a "list of UNC chapel hill campus buildings" or something like that. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 16:48, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I don't want to make any judgement about the relative notabilities of the articles, but I would say that a new article with both in would be best, with the Theatre mentioned as part of a history section talking about the Carolina Playmakers. If someone can add information about the current theater that would bring it up to date. On content grounds alone I wouldn't say either article stands well on their own. If there are other groups worth mentioning, I would go for a title "Something of/at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill". There's Carolina Performing arts, or at least Memorial Hall after all. LostOldPassword (talk) 18:14, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
