Dravo Engineering , Pgh[edit]

Dravo Engineering was a Fortune 500 company in 1980 . BYN Mellon building was built as Dravo Towers. The top beam has Dravo Towers written in large letters seen from the street.

Dravo Engineering was very successful …completing billion dollar E&C projects faster and better than any other company in the world….until Japanese ‘TARGETTING’ unfairly took largest projects away from Dravo effectively putting Dravo Engineering out of business … and one big reason downtown Pittsburgh today is a ghost town compared to just 30 years ago. 2600:1016:B005:C167:4002:B174:ADD3:5DBE (talk) 19:22, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
