Unbalanced language[edit]

The two section, History and The Developers, have very unbalanced language and feel like they are transcripts of an anti-capitalist guest in a talk show. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 23:48, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blow it up and start over[edit]

I just came across this article and I see that it's been essentially completely unsourced since its creation. There is a list of sources at the bottom but no proper citations to them, as well apparent citations to sources that are not listed and are therefore useless (e.g. "according to Hannigan, (1998)"). At one point, this IP added two unsourced paragraphs claimed to be "first hand experience about internet connectivity" ([1]), which is just outright WP:OR. As another editor notes above, a lot of the article reads like an essay or opinion piece, which might be fine elsewhere but isn't what Wikipedia is for. Unless the original editor, Dfadgyas, wants to come back and fix these problems (which seems unlikely as they haven't done anything other than create this page in 2011), I don't think it's reasonable to expect other editors to try and sort out and verify all of this material, and it's unclear to me whether it even merits to be a separate article from 6th of October (city).

So, in the spirit of WP:BLOWITUP, I'm recommending all the unsourced content be removed, and the page be converted into a stub based on what can be found in reliable sources (e.g. [2]). It can then be re-expanded with properly sourced content that's more in line with Wikipedia policies. Or, if editors prefer, it could be merged or deleted. The former content will still be available in the article's history, if needed. R Prazeres (talk) 23:10, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For future reference, here is the article prior to restart: [3]. R Prazeres (talk) 23:46, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
