Possible new external link[edit]

Hi, I moderate Culture Victoria. We have the Drouin story in CV which includes historical images from the West Gippsland Regional Library collection. I've had a look at the guidelines for adding external links and thought that a link to CV would be relevant and appropriate. Please let me know what you think.--Eleworth (talk) 05:49, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Canada![edit]

I live in Drouin, and we are the sister "city" to Barrhead, Alberta. That's not in there......

Done, have added it for you. 😊 -- SimonEast (talk) 09:31, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Indigenous history[edit]

It would be wonderful to include details about the aboriginal/indigenous history of the Drouin area, if anyone is aware of good sources for this. I vaguely remember seeing some park signage north of Drouin which told a few stories, but I don’t remember enough to report on it. – SimonEast (talk) 05:33, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect/Misleading Census Data[edit]

I've noticed that the data in the infobox attributed to the 2018 census is incorrect, or rather, it's a misreading of the census data. The figure of 37,928 is actually the population of the greater Warragul & Drouin area, as described at the bottom of the History section. However, it was presented in the infobox in a way that makes it appear as if it is the population of just Drouin. This is misleading, and so I've updated the figure to the actual census population data for Drouin in 2018. If the figure of 37,928 is going to be included, it should be clearly labelled as the population of the wider area, and not just Drouin. Other local townships do not include the data for the population of the wider area in the infobox, as it's not relevant to a page about a specific town, and so I've left it off for now. - Beamashe (talk) 11:16, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
