Before you say it: Yes, it is with one L. The idea for this article is not to talk about all things that lack a honed edge, but rather to speak of the mythological figure of Dulness the goddess in Alexander Pope's The Dunciad. That's first. Second, is the article needed? Isn't this duncecruft? Can't it be merged into The Dunciad? Yes and no. There are places in other articles (click on "what links here") where it's necessary to refer to someone being "an avatar of Dulness" or "an ally of Dulness," and referring that person to the quite long Dunciad article might be unhelpful. That said, if someone sticks a "merge" sticker on the article, I won't pitch a fit over it. It ain't the end of the world. Geogre 18:40, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs a cleanup[edit]

It is a notable article, but it needs a lot of cleaning up. I'm a Pope fan, but no expert. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SophoclesOedipusRots (talkcontribs) 16:54, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
