Opening comment[edit]

Under the history section, two dates are given for the implosion October 27 & October 29 ... unless it was a very long implosion, only one can be correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.172.167.31 (talk) 19:28, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sign[edit]

Did the sign actually read "No Vacany". Or was it "No Vacancy"? Solar Apex (talk) 12:00, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Number of Rooms in the "Diamond of the Dunes" Tower?[edit]

I've seen sources state that the "Diamond of the Dunes" tower had 250 rooms, like Emporis (IIRC). Some of the sources AJFU inserted during his expansion of this article that confirmed the 510-room count for that tower include the South Pasadena Review, the Chicago Tribune, and the Los Angeles Times. The 200 rooms that the Dunes originally opened with, the (false) 250-rooms number of the "Diamond of the Dunes", and the 400 rooms that the Dunes's south tower had would only add up to 850. Before this article's expansion, that had me thinking there was an addition or two at an unknown point in the 50s or 60s that had the remaining 450 units (to bring the property's total to 1,300).

Anyone know why this incorrect number? Jim856796 (talk) 03:32, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
