California[edit]

Is there any reason why the "California" (built in 1853, as the article states, by Fop Smit in Kinderdijk) is not counted as the "first" Dutch clipper? Why mention "California" in this article if it was not a clipper (it is correctly identiefied as an iron ship and other sources call it the "first Dutch iron clipper")? I think the original "Stad Amsterdam," another iron clipper, built a little later than the "California" in Amsterdam, also deserves a mention.--Ereunetes (talk) 21:05, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
